What Was Really Causing My Afternoon Crashes

When I started looking closely at my own eating patterns, I realised something important: I wasn’t eating in a way that truly supported my energy. My meals were often quick, light, or missing key nutrients — especially protein and fibre.

Without those two things, my blood sugar would spike… and then crash. Cue cravings, fatigue, and mood dips.

Once I started building my meals around protein and fibre, everything changed. I didn’t need to snack constantly. I didn’t feel foggy. I had steady energy through the afternoon — and it wasn’t a struggle.
